Feed the Children Event

On behalf of everyone at Eastside Community Connection, we would like to send out a huge thank you to Highland Mall, Feed the Children, Avon, NurturMe, Paul Mitchell Salons, Celebration of Love, Snappy Snacks, Adam’s Canopies, Austin Volunteer Clinic, and Austin Sunshine Camp for making our April 25th event such a success. Of course, we couldn’t forget our amazing staff and volunteers for braving the heat and dedicating their time to distribute 50,000 pounds of food and toiletries to 1,200 low-income Austin families outside Highland Mall.

Special Thanks, EastSide Boil

On April 16th, the 10th Annual Eastside Boil was held in support of our local East-Austin community. Over 600 attendees came together to eat Louisiana crawfish, donate to ECC, and have a great time!

The Eastside Boil started ten years ago in Zilker Park with just a couple of college friends. It has now grown into a full-blown cookout sporting 1000 pounds of Louisiana crawfish, a photo-booth, sound stage, piñata-bash, and beanbag toss!

With the help of the supportive Austin community and various Texas corporate sponsors, we were able to raise over $15,000! This money will be directly injected into the East-Austin community and will support ECC’s future development.

We would like to extend a special thanks to all of the Eastside Boil staff, corporate sponsors, individual donors, and the volunteer staff for hosting the event!
