Board members:
Send completed applications to info@austinecc.org
Since our mission is to engage students in nonprofit work at every level of the organization, we actively seek out students to serve on our Board of Directors. Currently, half of our Board is made up of students. Positions typically require a two-year commitment with meetings every month. Attendance at meetings is required (except for students during holidays and summer vacation). We welcome applications from anyone who feels that they can make a 2-year commitment (this includes you freshmen!). If you are eager to get some leadership experience in the community, please apply!.

Community members!
Donate your valuable time to serve on the Board of Directors or provide technical expertise.
Board of Directors:
ECC is committed to increasing community service among college age students. While most nonprofit organizations maintain boards of high-profile community members, Eastside Community Connection will purposely maintain a board that is comprised of a mix of students and community members.
A board provides both support and governance within a nonprofit. In its supporting role, the board must help raise money, bring contacts to the organization, provide special skills and other resources, and act as ambassadors to the community. In its governance role, the board must select the executive director, evaluate the executive director's performance, review and authorize plans and commitments, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and evaluate the organization's work. To achieve these goals, Eastside Community Connection will select and maintain a board of involved and responsible students and community members, who are representative of various sectors of the campus and community. Board members serve 2-year terms, and the terms will stagger so as to ensure continuity from year to year.
If you would like more information or would like to recommend someone for the Board, please e-mail the Executive Director at smajid@austinecc.org.
Technical Expertise:
We are always appreciative of professionals who are willing to donate their expertise to support our efforts. Past donors include lawyers, accountants, grant writers, event planners, and web designers. If you would like to share your expertise with our organization, please e-mail the Executive Director at smajid@austinecc.org.
